The course is conducted over a minimum of 34 days face-to-face delivery and assessment, with self-paced home study, as well as a minimum of 120 hours of Clinical Placement arranged for you by Intercept Training.

The course commences with face-to-face foundation training, giving students the initial skills and knowledge necessary to attend their allocated Care Home for the practical placement requirements.

Must be at least 17 years of age

Must undergo a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment.

Must provide (or apply prior to commencement) a National Police Check (that is suitable for the industry)

Must provide (or apply prior to commencement) an NDIS Worker check

Must provide Photo ID

Additional Requirements

Students are required to obtain a current "Flu Vaccination" prior to their Clinical Work Placement

All Students will need to be TRIPLE Vaccinated for COVID prior to Clinical Work Placement

All Students will be required to wear a uniform while attending Clinical Placement. This will include a white collared shirt, black pants and black fully enclosed lace up shoes

Smart & Skilled Funding

This qualification is on the approved list for Smart & Skilled funding.

To successfully complete this qualification, students must be deemed competent in the following units of competency. Assessment methods for each unit of competency will include theory and practical observations (scenarios) in a classroom setting, practical assessment in a workplace setting and the required practical placement hours.
