The course includes a combination of classroom-based learning and practical placement, giving you real-world experience in both ageing and disability support settings. You will graduate with the confidence and capability to provide high-quality care to a diverse range of clients.
This nationally recognised qualification is a strong stepping stone into the health and community services industry, with many graduates progressing to further study, including pathways to become Enrolled Nurses or Registered Nurses.
The course is conducted over a minimum of 34 days face-to-face delivery and assessment, with self-paced home study, as well as a minimum of 120 hours of Clinical Placement arranged for you by Intercept Training.
The course commences with face-to-face foundation training, giving students the initial skills and knowledge necessary to attend their allocated Care Home for the practical placement requirements.
