Course Duration and Structure

Intercept Training College offers varying Delivery methods to allow you to work around your own schedule.

Option 1: Face to Face Fast Track course:

This program is delivered in a face-to-face setting with classroom training, practical workshops, self-paced independent learning, and Clinical Work Placement.

Students are required to attend the classroom 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm) for a minimum of 11 weeks.

Included in this time, you will participate in formal learning, training and assessment including theory knowledge assessments and practical workshop sessions.

Delivery also requires a minimum of 120 hours of Practical Work placement in a suitable facility secured by Intercept Training College.

Clinical Work Placement will be as a minimum, 4 days per week for 4 weeks to meet your 120 hours. You will be required to start each day between 6:00am and 7:00am (as per the facilities requirements).

Option 2: Self-Paced Blended delivery

Complete the majority of your training online, with practical workshops before commencing your work placement.

You’ll complete your theory and assessments through our Online Learning System, with access to:

  • All learning materials
  • Virtual lectures and training sessions
  • Support from your assessor through online drop-in sessions
  • Ongoing guidance throughout your course from your course coordinator and assessor.

You’ll have access to support when you need it, helping you stay on track and confident throughout your training.

Practical Work Placement

You’ll also complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical work placement in a suitable facility arranged by Intercept Training College.

Already working in the industry? Your current employment may be able to be used to complete your work placement hours, provided it meets the required criteria. Contact our team to find out more.
